St Mary's Cathedral

Información

Designed by William Wardell and begun in 1868 after fire destroyed an earlier church, the cathedral took well over a century to complete, with its twin southern spires added only in 2000. The long nave is lit by fine stained glass, and the crypt has a remarkable mosaic floor inspired by Celtic illuminated manuscripts.
