Founded in 1969, the Al Ain Museum is the oldest museum in the United Arab Emirates. It covers the archaeology, history and traditional culture of the Al Ain region, and is a good first stop before visiting the forts and archaeological sites around the city. The museum is run by the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi. It sits near the Al Ain Oasis, so the two are easily combined.
Beste Besuchszeit: Check that it is open before you go, and combine it with the Palace Museum nearby.
