About
Opened in 1991 in a building inspired by Tang architecture, the museum draws on Shaanxi's extraordinary archaeological riches. Its galleries show bronzes, gold and silver, pottery figurines and several terracotta warriors, and its collection of Tang tomb murals is among the finest anywhere.
Best time to go: Reserve a free ticket in advance and consider paying extra for the separate Tang mural galleries.
