About
The garden was laid out for the Centennial Exhibition held in the city, then German Breslau, in 1913, with advice from a Japanese gardener. Neglected for decades, it was restored with Japanese help in the 1990s, and today its ponds, arched bridges, lanterns and carefully clipped plantings make a serene counterpoint to the concrete dome of Centennial Hall nearby.
Best time to go: Combine it with Centennial Hall next door, and go in spring or autumn for the best colour.
