About
Dedicated in 1920 to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shōken, the shrine stands in a forest planted by volunteers from across Japan. Pass under the huge wooden torii gates, and you may see a traditional wedding procession.
Best time to go: Early morning, when the forest paths are calm.
