About
Covered in pine forest, Marjan has long been Split's green retreat. Paths lead past small medieval chapels and hermitages to viewpoints over the city and islands, and rocky beaches along its shore. Near the top, the Telegrin summit gives the widest view of all, stretching across the islands of Brač, Šolta and Hvar on a clear day.
Best time to go: Climb the steps from Varoš in the morning or early evening, and bring water.
