About
Opened in 2015 as part of the regeneration of Rio's port area, the museum juts out into Guanabara Bay with a sweeping, spiny roof that follows the sun. Its exhibitions ask how humanity might live sustainably over the coming decades, using immersive installations rather than traditional displays.
Best time to go: Visit on a weekday, then walk along the revitalised waterfront to the murals of the Olympic Boulevard.
