About
Opened in 1897 in a handsome limestone hall, the markets have been a Fremantle institution for well over a century. Inside, stalls sell fresh produce, local crafts, clothing and souvenirs, and street performers and food stands add to the relaxed port-town atmosphere.
Best time to go: Combine it with Fremantle Prison and a walk along the café strip of South Terrace.
