About
Matisse spent most of the last 37 years of his life in Nice, and his family gave many works to the city. The museum shows paintings, paper cut-outs, drawings and the objects he painted, in an olive grove above the city.
Best time to go: Combine with the Cimiez gardens and the Roman ruins next door.
