About
Built around 1300, this Sufi mausoleum stands in the Dera Basti cemetery, about 1.6 kilometres south-west of the old centre. Its square base, corner turrets and dome recall the tenth-century Samanid mausoleum in Bukhara. The blue and white glazed tiles are a regional hallmark seen on Multan's early tombs, and the unusual south-facing entrance follows the local Suhrawardi tradition.
Best time to go: Visit in daylight with a driver or guide who knows the cemetery lanes.
