About
Work began in 1883 and was only finished in 1993, when it was consecrated by Pope John Paul II. Its neo-Gothic interior has colourful modern ceilings. The museum gives access to the dome and a view over the palace.
Best time to go: Combine with the Royal Palace across the square.
