About
Built around 15 BC, the theatre could seat 10,000 spectators in the Roman capital of Gaul. Beside it are a smaller odeon and the Lugdunum museum. The ruins are free to wander and offer views over the city.
Best time to go: Summer evenings, when the Nuits de Fourvière festival stages concerts here.
