A two-kilometre stone path along a canal lined with cherry trees, between Ginkaku-ji and Nanzen-ji.

About
The path is named after the philosopher Nishida Kitarō, who walked it every day to meditate. Small temples, cafés and shops line the canal, which turns pink in cherry blossom season.
Best time to go: Early April for cherry blossoms, or November for autumn colour.
