About
The Museum of Trade Ceramics tells the story of Hội An's rise as a port through the ceramics that passed through it. Its displays show links with China, India, Japan, the Philippines and Thailand. The museum occupies a restored traditional wooden house in the old quarter, whose design has been likened to the townhouses of Kyoto, a reminder of the town's historic Japanese community.
Best time to go: Visit during a walk through the old town, and look closely at the timber house itself.
