About
Bulguksa was completed in the eighth century at the height of the Silla kingdom, and its stone terraces, staircase bridges and pagodas survive from that golden age. The contrasting pagodas of Dabotap and Seokgatap stand before the main hall, and the temple buildings were restored in the 1970s.
Best time to go: Arrive early in the morning and look closely at the two stone pagodas in the main courtyard.
