About
Built in the thirteenth century under the Seljuk sultan Alaeddin Kayqubad I, the minaret is decorated with turquoise tiles. It rises above the old town, beside a mosque that was later rebuilt and a complex of historic buildings.
Best time to go: See it from the square in Kaleiçi, then walk down to the harbour.
