نبذة

Founded in 1871, the gallery occupies a classical sandstone building in the Domain and a light-filled modern extension by the Japanese firm SANAA, opened in 2022. Its collections range from colonial landscapes and Australian impressionists to contemporary First Nations art, and the terraces of the new building look out over Woolloomooloo Bay.
