نبذة

Hỏa Lò Prison was built by the French to hold political prisoners in colonial Indochina. During the Vietnam War, North Vietnam used it to hold American prisoners of war, who called it the Hanoi Hilton. Most of the prison was demolished in 1993 and 1994, but the gatehouse survives as a museum. Its displays cover both chapters of the prison's history.

أفضل وقت للزيارة: Pick up an audio guide at the entrance; the exhibits are sober, so allow time to take them in.
