The Spice Souk, also called the Old Souk, sits on Baniyas Street in Deira, beside the abra station on the creek and next to the Gold Souk. Its narrow lanes are lined with open and covered stalls selling spices, herbs, frankincense and other fragrances used in Arab and South Asian kitchens. Shops also sell tea, incense, textiles and rugs, and the scent of the place is half the reason to visit.
أفضل وقت للزيارة: Arrive by abra at the Old Souk station and wander the lanes before heading on to the Gold Souk next door.
