À propos
King Haakon V began the fortress around 1300, and it was later remodelled into a Renaissance royal residence under Christian IV. The grounds are open to wander, with ramparts looking over the Oslofjord and the Aker Brygge waterfront. Inside the walls are the castle's chapel and royal mausoleum, and the Norwegian Resistance Museum tells the story of the Second World War occupation.
Meilleur moment pour y aller: Walk the ramparts in the late afternoon, when the light over the harbour is at its softest.
