Thế Miếu, also called Thế Tổ Miếu, is a Confucian ancestral shrine to the emperors of the Nguyễn dynasty, set inside the Imperial City of Huế. It honours the dynasty's rulers and reflects the central place of ancestor worship at the Nguyễn court. It is one of the quieter corners of the palace grounds and a good place to pause during a long visit to the citadel.
