Al Fahidi, long known as Al Bastakiya, is the historic district of Bur Dubai and one of the few places where the city's pre-oil townscape survives. Narrow shaded lanes wind between low, restored houses, many of them now small museums, galleries and cafés. The Al Fahidi Fort, the oldest existing building in Dubai, stands close by, and the creek is a few minutes' walk away.
Meilleur moment pour y aller: Walk it in the morning or early evening, when the lanes are cooler, and finish at the creek for an abra ride.
