The Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque, also called the Al Ain Grand Mosque, opened to the public in April 2021. It is the largest mosque in the city and one of the largest in the country. It is named after Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ruler of Abu Dhabi and president of the UAE from 2004 until his death in 2022. Its size and domes make it a landmark of the city centre.
