Über diesen Ort
Completed in the late seventeenth century and dedicated to the Virgin of the Rosary, the chapel was hailed in its day as a wonder of the New World. Nearly every surface is worked in gold leaf, polychrome plaster and Talavera tile, with angels, saints and vines climbing towards a dome that seems to glow from within.
Beste Besuchszeit: Go when a service is not under way so you can stand beneath the dome and take in the gilding slowly.
