St Peter's predates the founding of the city itself, and its present form mixes Gothic and Baroque work. Locals call its tower Alter Peter, and a narrow stairway of around three hundred steps leads to a gallery overlooking the town hall, the Frauenkirche and the rooftops of the old town. Inside is an ornate Baroque high altar.
Beste Besuchszeit: Climb the tower on a clear day, when the Alps can appear on the horizon behind the Frauenkirche.
