Über diesen Ort
The Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens was commissioned in 1864 and opened to the public in 1869, making it one of the oldest continuously operating zoos in the world. The botanical gardens were founded by Jean Baptiste Louis Pierre, who directed them until 1877. The park sits at the north-eastern end of Lê Duẩn Boulevard in District 1, and its old trees offer welcome shade in the heat of the city.
Beste Besuchszeit: Go early in the morning, when the shade is deepest and the animals are active.
