Many years in the making and fully opened in 2025, the museum is one of the largest in the world devoted to a single civilisation. A colossal statue of Ramesses II greets visitors in the atrium, and a grand staircase lined with pharaonic sculpture climbs towards windows framing the pyramids. For the first time, the entire contents of Tutankhamun's tomb are displayed together.
Beste Besuchszeit: Book ahead, give it at least half a day, and pair it with the pyramids a short drive away.
