The Mont des Arts was laid out on the slope between the royal upper town and the medieval lower town, and was largely completed in the mid-twentieth century. Formal gardens step down past the Royal Library, and from the upper terrace the spire of the town hall rises above the rooftops of the old centre.
Beste Besuchszeit: Stand at the top of the garden steps near sunset for the view across the lower town.
