Über diesen Ort
Designed by Peter Eisenman and opened in 2005, the memorial covers a whole block near the Brandenburg Gate with 2,711 concrete slabs of varying heights. As the ground dips, the paths between them become disorienting and isolating. The underground information centre tells the personal stories of victims and families, giving names and faces to the murdered.
Beste Besuchszeit: Walk slowly into the centre of the field of stelae, then visit the information centre beneath it.
