Jebel Hafeet rises on the border between the UAE and Oman, just south of Al Ain. It is the only mountain in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and one of the highest in the country. The mountain gave its name to the Hafit period of the Bronze Age, around 3200 to 2600 BCE, after the beehive tombs found on its slopes. A winding road leads to viewpoints near the summit.
