Rising above the south-west of the city, the Uetliberg is reached by a short suburban train ride from the main station. A lookout tower at the summit gives a sweeping view, and the ridge path to Felsenegg is one of the city's favourite walks, with a cable car down to the lake.
Best time to go: Take the train up and walk the ridge path towards Felsenegg on a clear autumn day.
