About
The park sits on Little Mountain, once quarried for rock used in the city's early roads. The old quarries were transformed into sunken gardens, and the summit offers views of downtown and the mountains. The Bloedel Conservatory, a domed glasshouse, shelters tropical plants and free-flying birds.
Best time to go: Visit in spring or summer to see the quarry garden in bloom, then enjoy the view from the summit plaza.
