About
The Tashkent Television Tower rises 375 metres and is among the tallest towers in the world. Construction began in 1978, and it started broadcasting on 15 January 1985. It was the fourth tallest tower in the world from 1985 to 1991. The steel structure was built to carry television and radio signals across Uzbekistan, and an observation deck sits 97 metres above the ground.
