About
The temple traces its origins back well over a thousand years and moved to its present site in the thirteenth century. Rebuilt in recent decades in traditional style, its golden rooftops and carved halls make a striking contrast with the glass towers and shopping malls around it.
Best time to go: Stop in on the way along Nanjing West Road, especially when the golden roofs catch the late sun.
