About
The museum moved into its vast modern building in Yongsan in 2005, set in gardens with a reflecting pond. Its collections include Silla gold crowns, Goryeo celadon, Buddhist sculpture and paintings, and its most celebrated treasures are the gilt-bronze Pensive Bodhisattvas, displayed together in a dedicated gallery.
Best time to go: Allow at least half a day, and find the quiet room devoted to the two Pensive Bodhisattva statues.
