About
Opened in 1954 for the city's fourth centenary, the park was designed with pavilions by Oscar Niemeyer linked by a long, curving canopy. It holds the Afro Brazil Museum, the Museum of Modern Art and the pavilion of the São Paulo Biennial, and its lakes and paths are a refuge for millions of residents.
Best time to go: Hire a bicycle and pair a stroll by the lake with a visit to one of the museums inside the park.
