About
Czech legend makes Vyšehrad the seat of the princess Libuše, who foretold the founding of Prague. Today its Baroque ramparts enclose the neo-Gothic Basilica of St Peter and St Paul and the Vyšehrad Cemetery, resting place of Dvořák, Smetana, Mucha and many other national figures.
Best time to go: Go late in the afternoon and walk the ramparts for views up the river towards the castle.
