About
Set aside as a public reserve in the nineteenth century, the park combines native bushland with the Western Australian Botanic Garden, famed for its wildflowers in spring. The State War Memorial and the terraces of Fraser Avenue look out over the river and the city skyline, and an elevated walkway carries visitors through the canopy of eucalyptus trees.
Best time to go: Walk the glass-and-steel treetop walkway in the morning and return to the lookout for sunset.
