About
Elector Ferdinand Maria began Nymphenburg in the 1660s to celebrate the birth of his heir, and later rulers extended it into a long Baroque facade. Inside, the Stone Hall and King Ludwig I's Gallery of Beauties are highlights, while the park holds the Rococo hunting lodge of Amalienburg. The Marstallmuseum displays royal coaches and sleighs.
Best time to go: Explore the palace in the morning and spend the afternoon walking the park to its hidden pavilions.
