About
The shrine holds the tomb of the fifteenth-century Sufi saint Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari and has long drawn pilgrims of many faiths. The walk along the causeway, with the sea on both sides and the city skyline behind, is part of the experience, and the whitewashed domes and minarets make a striking sight from the shore at Worli.
Best time to go: Visit at low tide, when the causeway is clear, and dress modestly with shoulders and legs covered.
