About
Designed by the French architect Roger Taillibert, the stadium was the centrepiece of the 1976 Summer Olympic Games. Its tower leans over the stadium, and a funicular climbs its curved spine to an observatory at the top. The surrounding Olympic Park also includes the Biodome and the Planetarium.
Best time to go: Ride the funicular up the inclined tower on a clear day for views over the city and Mount Royal.
