About
Opened in the 1930s, the market brings farmers and specialist grocers together in a lively square. Stalls sell seasonal fruit and vegetables, cheeses, maple syrup and baked goods, and small restaurants serve food at the edges. It is a favourite with Montrealers and gives a real taste of Quebec's local produce.
Best time to go: Come in late summer or autumn, when Quebec produce, from berries to maple goods, is at its peak.
