About
Built by volunteers in the 1820s to honour the hero of the 1794 uprising, the mound was later enclosed by an Austrian fortress. A spiral path leads to the summit, and on clear days the view stretches across the Vistula valley and over the city to the distant Tatras.
Best time to go: Go on a clear afternoon for views across the city, and on the best days to the Tatra Mountains.
