Also called the Rawal Lake View Point, this park near Malpur village is run by the Capital Development Authority. It combines wildlife, amusement and adventure areas on the edge of Rawal Lake, the reservoir that supplies Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Its walk-in aviary, opened in 2013, is 80 feet high and covers 3.8 acres. Flower shows and national holiday events draw big crowds in spring and winter.
Best time to go: Come on a weekday afternoon to avoid the crowds, and stay for sunset over the water.
