About
The Tomb of Tự Đức, officially Khiêm Mausoleum, was built for the Nguyễn emperor Tự Đức between 1864 and 1867. It is divided into a temple area and a tomb area, set in wooded grounds south-west of the city. The emperor used the temple area during his lifetime, and the site is known for its calm, garden-like setting. It is the easiest of the royal tombs to reach from the city.
Best time to go: Come in the late afternoon, when the grounds are at their most peaceful.
