About

The Marble Mountains, Ngũ Hành Sơn, are five marble and limestone hills on the road between Hội An and Da Nang. Each is named after one of the five elements: metal, water, wood, fire and earth. All have caves and tunnels, and several hold Buddhist sanctuaries. Visitors can climb to the top of Mount Thủy, and the villages below are known for stone carving.

Best time to go: Go early, wear good shoes and climb Mount Thủy for the views before the heat sets in.
