About
Opened as China's first national wetland park, Xixi preserves a landscape of rivers, ponds and marshes that has been farmed and fished for centuries. Boats and paths wind through reed beds and persimmon orchards to old villages, temples and teahouses, a quiet contrast to the city.
Best time to go: Take a boat along the waterways in the morning, when herons and egrets are most active.
