About
Hans Ulrich von Eggenberg began the palace in 1625, and its design follows a calendar symbolism, with 365 windows and 24 state rooms. The Planetary Hall and painted ceilings are highlights, the park is part of the UNESCO listing of Graz, and the grounds also house archaeology and coin collections.
Best time to go: Join a tour of the state rooms, then linger among the peacocks in the landscaped park.
