About
Designed by the architect Fariborz Sahba and completed in 1986, the temple is formed of twenty-seven marble-clad petals arranged in clusters of three around a central hall. Surrounded by pools and gardens, it welcomes visitors of all religions for quiet reflection, and it has become one of the most visited buildings in the world.
Best time to go: Visit in the morning and expect a short queue; silence is kept inside the prayer hall.
