About
The gurdwara stands where the eighth Sikh Guru, Har Krishan, stayed in 1664 and is remembered for tending the sick during an epidemic. Pilgrims walk around the large sarovar, or holy pool, and volunteers run a community kitchen that serves simple vegetarian meals to thousands of visitors each day, regardless of faith or background.
Best time to go: Cover your head, remove your shoes and stay to see or share the free communal meal in the langar hall.
